About SnowJam 2009

SnowJam 2009, the area’s premier snowmobile trail ride, has been scheduled, and we hope you are there with us for this event. The event will be Friday, Jan 16 and Saturday, Jan 17, on the Cass County ND trail system, with event headquarters at Governor's Inn, Casselton ND. This is the 4th annual SnowJam event.

Bonfire
Join club members at the warming house for an informal bonfire Friday night. Parking will be available at Johnson's Barn near Arthur.

Snowmobile Trail Ride
The snowmobile trail ride will start and end in Arthur, ND, following more than 200 miles of freshly-groomed trail spanning across Cass County. In addition to the trail ride and vintage snowmobile display, the Rural Cass Snowmobile Club is working on several other activities for the ride, including vendor displays, a VIP ride, guided rides, hundreds of drawings and door prizes and social activities following the ride. And, area businesses throughout the county are gearing up for the additional snowmobile traffic expected that day.

Vintage Ride and Display
Vintage snowmobile enthusiasts with models that are 1982 or older are invited to participate in this display and ride. During the show, prizes that will be awarded will include Best of Show and People’s Choice.

In addition, a trail ride showcasing the vintage snowmobiles will take place from Johnson's Barn to Amenia, ND.

Swap Meet -- NEW
We've added a swap meet to the agenda for SnowJam 2008. The swap meet will take place at Johnson's Barn with a $15 fee to participate. Swappers should arrive about 8:30 AM and the swap meet will open at 9 AM, with the other SnowJam activities. The meet will be open most of the day on Jan 19.  Please send an email to
snowmobileclub@yahoo.com to reserve swap meet space.
Marketplace
Join some of our sponsors as they showcase their products and services. The marketplace will be held inside and out of Johnson’s Barn, and will be open during ride registration and at the completion.

Guided Rides
We will be offering snowmobilers who aren’t familiar with the local snowmobile trail an option for a guided ride from a club member who knows the “ins and outs” of the trail. Several stops will be planned along the route, and riders can expect to return to Arthur in time for the evening activities.

VIP Ride
Watch as local VIPs participate in a snowmobile ride. The VIP ride is a great opportunity for riders to show their support for snowmobiling and outdoor fun in ND.

Evening social
Enjoy food served all day by Johnson's Bar. Stay into the evening for a band and social; no cover charge for SnowJam trail riders. Music will be provided by The Front Fenders. Cash bar offered by Coaches Corner of Arthur. (No coolers allowed inside the barn.)

With the crowds we are expecting, we will be offering a helmet check (like a coat check) in the lower level of Johnson's Barn. No helmets will be allowed in the upper level of the barn that evening.
